About the Employer The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. NCOE partners with the five public school districts in Napa County on a variety of programs and issues. To learn more about working at NCOE, please visit: https://napacoe.org/careers/ Job Summary GENERAL INFORMATION: Under the supervision of the Director of Early Childhood Services, provides health, nursing and related services to B-5 year students in accordance with state laws, regulations and guidelines and NCOE policies and procedures, including CSPP and Special Education classes. Serves as a resource person to program staff and parents and provides liaison activities with other community agencies as assigned. Requirements / Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: --- Valid School Nurse Services Credential or the ability to apply for credential at time of hire --- This position requires knowledge of the California State Preschool Programs, Public Education, Special Education and Community Health Systems. --- Requires knowledge of Applicable Federal, State and Local Health and Safety Laws, Regulations and Guidelines. --- Requires oral and written communication skills and the ability to operate computer systems. --- Requires the ability to plan, organize and schedule duties effectively. Work independently with little direction. --- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports. --- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. --- Be an advocate for the overall health and well-being of the "whole child" in the Early Childhood community. --- Requires ambulatory ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. --- Requires the hand-eye coordination and manipulative skills to perform precise examinations, tests, and treatments to student patients. --- Requires the ability to perform infrequent lifting and moving of light to moderately heavy (less than 40 pounds) objects. --- Requires the visual acuity to read and observe symptoms.
