Description:
Job purpose The Director of IT manages and directs the information technology operations of Holiday Oil, Cottonwood Distribution and Holiday Trucking while driving continuous improvement through thoughtful analysis, strategy development and implementation to support the growth and operations of these companies. Duties and responsibilities Oversees talent acquisition and training of IT Staff. Supervises the Help Desk Manager and Systems Engineer positions. Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure. Ensures the security and integrity of IT systems, including data protection and disaster recovery planning. Manages IT resources, including budget for, purchase of, and deployment of hardware and software. Develops strong relationships across all organizations to provide technology solutions in support of other departments initiatives and solving business problems. Presents analysis and justification for major expenditures to the capital improvements committee Ensures documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting is up-to-date and accessible. Stays informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and innovation. Manages planning, execution, evaluation and budget of IT projects to ensure on time delivery. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the IT department. Develops and mentors IT staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations. Manages processes to support emergency calls and support outside of business hours to minimize downtime at store locations. Provides escalation support for complex technical issues, ensuring effective resolution. Develops and maintains security policies and procedures and ensures compliance with defined identity and data governance frameworks. Qualifications Minimum 7 years increasing responsibility in an IT Department with supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or business administration. Master's degree or MBA preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
