As a Facilities Chemical/Gas Systems Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Sustains engineering support for gas system operations, maintenance and ownership of system capacity versus demand, and system troubleshooting. Utilizes knowledge of chemical compatibility of materials for process fluids and gases, high purity gases, process control statistical analysis (PCSA), and materials of construction needed for gas systems to meet semiconductor purity requirements. Manages code and compliance issues related to gas systems and associated infrastructure and develops and maintains standard operating procedures for respective systems. Collaborates with other engineering disciplines, management, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure projects and systems are cost effective, within budget, meet the desired design criteria and schedule requirements. Conducts the engineering analysis, design, and installation oversight of distribution systems for gas equipment and systems. Writes scopes of work and bid requests for proposals and oversees projects to meet design criteria, scope, budget, and schedule and reviews construction management documentation such as submittals and requests for information. Directs and executes project commissioning to ensure all gas systems equipment, components, and infrastructure perform as designed. Creates and communicates project documentation including sequence of operations, installation procedures, and checklists for commissioning and startup. Work with other Mechanical Engineers to learn the basic operations of all Mechanical Systems on the site and be able to provide back-up coverage when needed Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. The candidate must have at least one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field with 6 + years of experience. OR Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field with 4 + years of experience. OR PhD in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field with 2 + years of experience. Experience requested above should be in one of the following fields: Facilities and/or maintenance operations. System engineering, and design/construction of mechanical systems (HVAC and Vacuum systems) and associated controls. Process Cooling Water - pumps, heat exchangers, piping systems, and controls; Boilers, combustion and emissions, Chilled Water Plants, piping, and controls). OFA compressors, dryers and associated controls. Bulk gas systems Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated skills to professionally present to peers and leadership at site at cross-site meetings and actively participate in cross-site tasks as directed. Experience with: Statistical Process control. Experience with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Experience Commissioning Mechanical equipment or systems. Project planning, coordination, and integration. Maintenance Science or Reliability Centered Maintenance. Experience Conducting Mechanical system design reviews. PE Registration. EIT certification. Experience in the following: Bulk gas systems HVAC, Vacuum Systems, Boilers, Chillers, Compressed Air, Cooling Towers and Cooling Water process. Maintenance, Operation, and system design.
