Requisition ID: 136295 Opportunity Type: Permanent Estimated Annual Salary: 350,000 - 400,000 Type of Remuneration: AFP - Academic Funding Plan About the Opportunity We are accepting submissions from psychiatrists interested in a challenging and rewarding position: Psychiatrist, Rapid Access and Stabilization Program (the Program). This is a 1.0 FTE position (much of the work time providing clinical care in the Program and the rest of the work time providing other community psychiatry clinical care, as well as teaching and possibly clinically academically leading the Program depending on the successful applicant’s demonstrated experience), funded by the Academic Funding Plan of the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University. The successful candidate will be appointed at the academic rank of either Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor at Dalhousie University, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is available immediately. The psychiatrist of the Rapid Access and Stabilization Program (the Program) of the Community Mental Health and Addictions (CMHA) services of the Adult Mental Health and Addictions Program (MHAP) of the Central Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority (CZ-NSHA), contributes to the Service’s clinical quality of care, using a person-centered evidence-based/informed and socially responsible approach. Working with the Program’s administrative leadership and with internal and external partners, such as central intake staff and primary care leadership, they champion excellence in health care and related education and innovation provided by clinicians of the Program and by others involved with the Program. The psychiatrist reports directly to the Head of the Section of Community Psychiatry. The psychiatrist collaborates across the Program, within the framework of the principles, plans, and policies of the Section of Community Psychiatry and the CMHA services, aligned with the Department of Psychiatry.
