Practice Area: Antitrust and Competition - Litigation and Investigations,Antitrust and Competition - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm is seeking Mid-Level and Senior Antitrust, Competition, and Trade - Litigation Associate Attorney for its Washington, D.C. office. The Associate Attorneys will be responsible for drafting, editing, and managing major sections of motions and dispositive briefs. They will handle substantive antitrust litigation matters, including class actions, and should exhibit strong research and writing skills, academic performance, and the ability to multi-task across matters. Duties:Draft, edit, and manage major sections of motions and dispositive briefsHandle substantive antitrust litigation mattersWork on class action cases and all other major phases of civil litigationConduct legal research and analysisCollaborate with colleagues and clients on case strategyAssist in preparing for hearings, depositions, and trialsStay updated on relevant legal developments and case lawAssist with case management and administrative tasks as needed Requirements:JD from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmission to practice in New York, California, or the District of Columbia3+ years of substantive antitrust litigation practiceExperience as a state or federal judicial clerk preferredFamiliarity with government enforcement agenciesBackground in economics is a plus Skills:Excellent research and writing skillsStrong academic performanceAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyAttention to detail and accuracyCollaboration and teamwork abilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in legal research tools and technology Recently there's been some impressive expansion occurring in this historically small DC outpost of a major international firm.Well structured and segmented, this firm is methodical about assigning lawyers--you are virtually guaranteed to work exclusively in your chosen practice area.
