Knox County Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: College & Career Counselor Location: Farragut High School School Year: 2024-2025 Job Summary: The College and Career Counselor will coordinate the college/career readiness program and support students; as well as, the work of KCS school counselors. Qualifications: • Master’s degree in school counseling • Willingness to pursue additional professional development • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Proven ability to solve problems • Excellent analytical skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Knowledge of and experience in dealing with students to help resolve personal, emotional, and social problems that interfere with a student’s education • Strong familiarity with the Tennessee Comprehensive School Counseling Model and State Standards and Tennessee Milestones for College and Career Readiness • Experience implementing a Comprehensive School Counseling Program • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
