Food Supervisor Job Duties and Expectations You will support the managers in food-related operations. You will place orders for food and non-food products; maintain positive vendor relationships; maintain and ensure exceptional standards for food quality, FIFOing, and waste management; ensure kitchen equipment is functional and well-maintained; advocate for and support the use of store systems and processes; and provide support with new kitchen employee training and development. You will attend all staff, team, and management meetings unless adequate notice is given, and you will use internal tools and resources for organization and administrative tasks such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, etc. Food Supervisor Requirements Has 1+ years of shift leadership experience at Ian's Pizza or in the food industry. Is fully Cook and Shift Leader trained or can be fully Cook and Shift Leader trained within 3 months of placement in the position. Has the ability to direct, develop, and motivate employees. Has the ability to plan, organize, work proactively, and set priorities. Demonstrates a high regard and ability to prioritize, plan and self-manage time. Exercises initiative, good judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle stressful situations that require quick action. English language proficiency is required for this position. Must be 18+ to apply. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. To bend, crouch, and lift up to 20-50 lbs. To use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business. Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide adequate identification documentation at Orientation and/or Day One. Food Supervisor Scheduling This position is 35-40 hours per week: about 30-35 hours in operations/on-shift, and about 5-10 hours on administrative tasks and meetings. 9-5 is a Dolly Parton song, not a job at Ian's Pizza! We expect the Supervisor to be available for late-night shifts at least once a week, as well as other high-demand shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Our current store hours are 11am-9pm Sunday-Thursday and 11am-12am Fridays and Saturdays. Opening shifts typically start 1-2 hours before opening, and closing shifts typically end 1-2 hours after closing. As a leader in the restaurant, you will work with the leadership team to be available for emergencies and help find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
