Senior Accountant

Description:
We are looking for a skilled Accountant to play a key role in our growing team. You'll be responsible for recording all our financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to accounting journals and QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, detail-oriented, and highly organized. If this sounds like work you'll love, we're waiting eagerly for your application! Responsibilities: --- Prepare all financial statements and bank reconciliations --- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process --- Ensure transactions are recorded properly in all ledgers --- Bookkeeping: Enter data, maintain records and produce financial reports --- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner Qualifications: --- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills --- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field --- Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) --- Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems --- Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant or similar --- Personality / Culture fit --- Full Cycle Month End Close responsibly experience Basics: --- General Ledger / Journal Entries --- AR/AP, Bookkeeping, etc. --- Maintenance of PP&E --- Prepaids and Accruals --- Full reconciliations --- Cash, AR, Prepaids, Inventory, Fixed Assets, AP, Accrued Expenses, Long-term liabilities and Equity --- Intercompany accounts (This can be taught, more of a "nice" than a must) --- Financial Statement preparation and review --- Flux Analysis / Budget to actuals analysis --- Able to see the big picture and know if things are right --- Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and "do" the work --- Not above doing anything that needs to be done i.e. administrative office work in addition to accounting/finance Attributes: --- Very comfortable and happy doing this job for many years --- Said differently, we are not looking for, and really cannot offer much "growth" --- Thinking more of the "steady Eddie" vs. the "go-getter" About Company: Whiteacre Properties LLC is a family-run real estate investment company focused on buying, renovating, and selling single-family and multi-family homes in the greater Boston area.
