Hiring Company: Boar's Head Provisions Co., Inc.Overview:Directs and coordinates the plant's activities, including hummus manufacturing, sanitation, and distribution (but not limited to), by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.Job Description:Responsibilities: Take all measures to ensure distributor/customer total satisfaction.Supervise daily operations of manufacturing operations for the Heritage Hummus facility.Directs subordinates engaged in all production processes within the Heritage Hummus facility.Build and maintain an effective supervisory team.Exercises good leadership and communication skills.Ensure effective production teams and team building.Ensure all production requirements are met.Analyze operations on a continual basis to improve costs, quality, and service.Build an effective relationship with internal and external customers.Actively participate in the research, justification, and implementation in long-range planning of the facility.Establish goals for yourself and the operation.Actively participate/support in the management of department functions that include the following: Production Scheduling, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, Area Sanitation, Processing, and other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.Assist in the training and development of all employees in area of responsibility, specifically Supervisors and Lead Persons.Ensure all sanitary, quality, and consistency requirements are met in area of responsibility.Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Total Quality Management (TQM) process.Ensure goal attainment in area of responsibility.Direct and enforce the Safety Program in area of responsibility.Actively participate in capital expenditure requisitioning process, budgeting, and goal setting.Ensure required preventive maintenance is being performed on all department equipment.Ensure all rules, policies and regulations of Company are enforced.Oversees support groups such as security, human resources, quality systems, maintenance, distribution, and first aid to ensure that there are good working relationships. Attend the staff meeting on a daily basis and be a part of conducting the daily Supervisors' meeting. Ensure smooth transition and communication system is in place between shifts.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or knowledge equivalent to such degree is required.Five (5) to seven (7) years related industry experience required, preferably in food plant sanitation, smokehouse operations and meat-processing productionExposure to and/or experience in Quality Assurance, Total Quality Management (TQM), Hazard Analysis Control Critical Process (HACCP) and Safety are a plus.English/Spanish bilingual would be a plus.Location:New Castle, INTime Type:Full timeDepartment:Plant Management
