Practice Area: Criminal Law - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney with the following responsibilities:Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents about their cases.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advice on best strategies.Managed court appearances and trials, drafted motions, interviewed witnesses, and conducted legal research.Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.Manage the workload of cases efficiently.Provide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefits.Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or arguments against prosecution charges.Prepare clients for depositions; strategize case goals and gather information from witnesses and experts supporting client positions.Requirements:Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.A team player is willing to collaborate and strategize with fellow associates.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Proficiency in case management software.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Job Overview:The Criminal Defense Attorney will provide legal counsel to clients facing criminal charges at federal, state, and local levels.
