The successful candidate will work in a variety of industries, including agribusiness, life sciences, and energy.Job Overview:Independently produce client-ready documents and collaborate with others on complex transactions.Enjoy the challenge of negotiating and documenting complex transactions.Demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand how projects serve clients' goals.Display a commitment to client service and team success.Ability to communicate business goals in contract language.Duties:Handle mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, securities, and other business transactions.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand business objectives and provide legal guidance.Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements and legal documents.Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.Assist with due diligence investigations and transactional closings.Participate in client meetings, hearings, and negotiations as needed.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in corporate law.Experience in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, securities, and other business transactions;JD from an accredited university.Active membership in or commitment to applying to the Minnesota State Bar.Skills:Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university.Certifications:Active membership in or commitment to applying to the Minnesota State Bar.Benefits Offered:Annual discretionary bonus.Paid family medical leave with an on/off-ramp program for expecting parents.Unlimited PTO and flexible schedule program.Remote work options.Sabbatical program for eligible attorneys.Competitive medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, ADD, EAP, FSA, and Voluntary Life, ADD, and LTC options.
