DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating costs for construction projects. Your attention to detail and strong analytic skills will ensure that our clients receive accurate and competitive bids.In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting site visits, soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing detailed cost estimates. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all requirements are met and that projects are completed within budget. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking project costs throughout the construction process and making any necessary adjustments to ensure profitability.To be successful in this role, you must have excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of construction processes and materials. You must also have excellent communication skills, as you will be responsible for negotiating prices with subcontractors and suppliers, and presenting cost estimates to clients.Responsibilities * Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents * Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for cost estimation * Identify and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers * Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment * Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare takeoffs and calculate quantities * Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of bids * Track project costs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure profitabilityRequirements * A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field * At least 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry * Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills * Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail * Strong understanding of construction processes and materials * Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and other construction documentation * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools * Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and best practices * Strong organizational and time management skills
