Learn more about Leggett and Platt Flooring Products: Flooring So, what will you be doing as a(n) Electrician? :Install Motor Control Centers (MCC), factory lighting systems, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), including programming and troubleshooting VFDs.:Install and maintain local disconnects, motors, and motor/gearboxes, including troubleshooting and replacing bearings.:Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting digital and analog devices such as RTDs, level/pressure transmitters, and valve positioners, as well as their integration with PLC I/O points.:Provide electrical connectivity to new equipment and perform necessary wiring for new construction, including assembling and installing conduits, outlets, panels, and junction boxes.:Perform testing, calibration, repair, rebuilding, maintenance, modification, and installation of electrical equipment as required.:Possess a thorough understanding of electrical equipment functions, electrical theory, and switchgear maintenance, with a focus on 480V and below systems.:Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work directly with and repair electrical systems and their interfaces with plant equipment.:Adhere to lock:out/tag:out procedures and maintain a strong safety orientation and record.:Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.:Ability to read and understand bills of material, blueprints, and electrical schematics.To be successful in this role, you'll need: :Journeyman electrician license or completed at least 2 years of an apprenticeship program.:Proven experience in industrial electrical work, preferably in a manufacturing environment.:Strong problem:solving and troubleshooting skills.:Familiarity with PLC systems and programming is a plus.:Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.Good communication and interpersonal skills.
