The selected candidate will enjoy a robust benefits package and a collaborative working environment.Duties:Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, visitation rights, alimony, and property settlements.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements precisely and carefully.Attend court proceedings, mediation sessions, and other legal appointments, advocating effectively on behalf of clients.Conduct client consultations to assess their needs and provide clear, understandable legal advice.Manage case files from initiation to closure, ensuring all legal and administrative steps are properly handled.Collaborate with legal staff and professionals to gather evidence, prepare for trial, and create comprehensive case strategies.Stay informed of the latest developments and changes in family law to provide informed advice and uphold high legal standards.Requirements:Possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.Hold a current Illinois bar license in good standing.At least 3 years of hands-on experience in family law practice or 5+ years of relevant experience demonstrating substantial empathy and understanding.Demonstrated proficiency in handling complex family law issues and a proven successful client service track record.Strong litigation and negotiation skills.Education:Juris Doctorate (JD) required.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Robust interpersonal skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.Effective organizational and time management skills.Proficient in legal research databases and technology.Benefits:Paid vacation and recognized holidays.Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, effective on the first day of the month following the hire date.401k matching program to support retirement planning.Short and Long-Term Disability insurance.
