Webster Trucking Ltd. #th Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia, V3S 1X7 Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime Salary: $27.00 to $32.00 hourly, depending on work experience, minimum 40 hours per week with the potential for 60 hours per week Benefits: Extended medical and dental after probation period Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Surrey, British Columbia Positions available: 8Education: Not required Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc. ): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Experience: Experience an asset Languages: Able to communicate with customers and other staff in English (working knowledge) Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or single. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness. Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, highway, Dump Type of Travel: Long-haul, Provincial/territorial, International Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports. Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) Transportation/Travel Information: Must be able to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods.
