The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general supervision of the SUPERVISOR CLINICAL ENGINEERING, OR DESIGNATE, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST I, in this entry level technologist position, is responsible for assigned daily technical support activities related to equipment and devices used within clinical, allied health and/or support service departments. The incumbent(s) carries out assignments for repair and performance assurance and other tasks relating to: inspecting of incoming equipment; assisting in new instrument development; modifying of equipment; assisting in teaching the safe and proper use of electromedical and other related equipment; attending service courses, maintaining parts inventory; and performing other related duties. Experience No previous experience required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade XII or recognized equivalent. Graduation from an Electronics Technology or recognized Biomedical Engineering Technology program required.
