Summary The University of Michigan's Neuropsychology Program is seeking a full-time Research Technician Associate. The emphasis of this research position is on the administration of cognitive and behavioral test measures for federally funded studies that examine the effects of age, neurological disorders, and/or medical conditions on neurocognitive performance. Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day 2:1 Match on retirement savings Responsibilities* Facilitate and conduct study visits with older adults, including careful collection, processing, and management of study data with minimal supervision. This includes the administration and scoring of neuropsychological and behavioral measures/surveys. Ensure all study related documentation is complete and accurately entered into electronic databases. Transport or lead research patients between U-M research sites, including in U-M leased vehicles. Use effective communication, including written, verbal, and information technology skills. Work effectively with others, including the local research team, offsite coordinating centers, and the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center to accomplish research goals. Comply with safety instructions and reporting. Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned. Assist with the creation of posters, papers, and presentations for scientific meetings. As needed, assist with special projects, in-services, and other additional assigned duties. Required Qualifications* A Bachelor's degree in Psychology or another health-related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Self-motivated and highly dependable The ability to efficiently and effectively multitask, prioritize, and problem solve. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work well under time constraints and deadlines. Computer proficiency (e.g. Microsoft software applications, Dropbox, etc.). A willingness to be flexible in a dynamic working environment. The ability to work semi-independently with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative, and effective manner. A valid U.S. driver's license. Desired Qualifications* Previous experience working with older adults and/or underrepresented populations. Familiarity with the administration of neuropsychological measures and/or behavioral assessments. Previous experience with electronic data entry (e.g. REDCap), and/or EPIC MiChart. Work Schedule The primary working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30 pm. However, some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate study needs. Work Locations The primary work location for this position will be 2101 Commonwealth Blvd., in Ann Arbor. The position will also occasionally require work at the University of Michigan Detroit Center. Additional Information This is a appointment will be term-limited to five years. Extension of this role may be possible, and is contingent upon further funding being secured. At the end of the stated term, your appointment will terminate, and will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits. This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct.
