The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 9 years of experience in public finance, tax credits, and/or real estate finance, preferably working as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, and/or developer/borrower counsel. This role will also involve general real estate and corporate governance practice.Duties:Provide legal counsel and expertise in public finance, tax credits, and real estate finance.Serve as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, and developer/borrower counsel in various transactions.Collaborate with state and local governments, underwriters, and banks on tax-exempt financing and tax credit matters.Handle general real estate and corporate governance practice as needed.Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence.Draft legal documents, contracts, and agreements.Provide guidance and support to clients on complex financial and real estate transactions.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.Admitted to the State Bar in Texas or eligibility for prompt admission.A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.Strong background in public finance, tax credits, and real estate finance.Experience working with state and local governments, underwriters, and banks.Proficiency in corporate governance and real estate practice.Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
