The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance Services, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination, direction and control of all maintenance activities, execution of repairs and preventive maintenance required throughout the Centre. Other activities include: preparing reports and estimates, performing routine inspections, supervising and training shop staff in the operation, repair and preventive maintenance of building systems, and scheduling of staff. Experience Minimum of seven years’ experience as a General Contractor or Project Manager/Foreman (Carpentry) and/or in a professional capacity with demonstrated leadership, administrative, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required. Graduate from a recognized technical institute with a major in Civil Technology, or alternatively a current Manitoba Journeyman Carpenter Tradesman’s Certificate. Certification/Licensure/Registration Manitoba certification as an Engineering Technologist (C. E. T. ) or a Journeyman certificate in an applicable building trade.
