Contract type: Variable Hours – Permanent Location: Strathclyde, Strathclyde International Study Centre Salary: £32.28 per hour JOB OVERVIEW Strathclyde International Study Centre is looking to expand its business team with a sessional Economics tutor. Candidates who can also teach Management Science or other Business subjects will be of interest. You will work with the Business team and Academic and Student Experience colleagues across the Centre along with the Study Group Network, to ensure the effective delivery of teaching programmes in line with our teaching, learning and backssment strategy and aims for an outstanding student experience. As a tutor, you will primarily be required to contribute to the development, production and delivery of teaching and learning materials for the Undergraduate Foundation programme in the Business and Social Sciences Economics module (SCQF 7) and the International Year Two Economics modules (SCQF 8). You may also be required to deliver pre-masters research methods or project supervision on our Business and Social Sciences Pre-master’s programmes (SCQF 9/10). ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Subject Lead for Business you will primarily be responsible for the design, delivery and development of modules in Economics for undergraduate levels 7 and 8 scqf. You may also be asked to cover Business modules, or Management Science modules depending on your experience, along with PMP research methods and supervision. Student learning experience Contribute to the design, delivery and development of modules offered by the International Study Centre at the University of Strathclyde Prepare and deliver teaching lessons, Including, seminars and tutorial sessions. Write and prepare module examinations, marking rubrics and other forms of formative and summative backssment. Mark students’ formative and summative backssment submissions and provide timely feedback to students on their performance, including during one-to-one. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
