Job Description : We are currently seeking seasonal/part-time Environmental Technician Interns, primarily for support of our MA Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Recreational Water Quality Sampling, Testing, Analysis & Reporting Contract. This contract is being run out of our Lowell, MA, office. The position(s) will provide daily and weekly beach water sampling support between Memorial Day and Labor Day at approximately 39 marine and fresh water beaches and recreational areas in the Boston metro area, and will work under experienced environmental scientists/engineers to gain valuable practical environmental consulting field experience. Positions will average about 20 hours per week. Compensation Range: $20-25/hr, Depending upon Experience Required Qualifications: Candidate(s) must be currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor's Degree program and have completed their first year in an environmental science or engineering related program. Candidate(s) must be organized and professional, with good communication and writing skills. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and their own form of transportation (car, truck, or van). Mileage to be reimbursed at current General Services Administration (GSA) mileage rate (currently 65 cents/mile). Ability to work early morning, weekend, and holiday (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, and Labor Day) shifts, as required. Physical Requirements: The ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to work while wearing PPE (personal protective equipment). Ability to pass annual medical clearance physicals for field activities. Comfortable wading into fresh and marine water bodies up to three feet (3 ft) in depth. Ability to swim strongly preferred. TechLaw is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
