Job Description : Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, working with scanners to perform basic functionality tests/troubleshooting to meet acceptable repair specifications. Use established procedures and work instructions to meet production goals and troubleshoot electronic modules. Will be required to collect data for evaluation purposes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs changes and retrofits on customers equipment in conjunction with routine maintenance.Diagnoses most equipment problems using appropriate tools, test equipment, and documentation.Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.Accurate / timely return of repair paperwork and parts kits.Performs work duties in accordance with accepted safety procedures, and corporate policies.Adheres to established ESD guidelines, repair procedures, and associated safety standards.Knowledge of but not limited to:Soldering IronVolt/Ohm MeterCommon Hands ToolsWorking knowledge of PC and applicable software such as MS-Word, MS-Excel, and Outlook to be able to communicate internally and to maintain accurate record keeping for individual repairs.Maintains production and quality output standards. – Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements Preferred Education: Completion of a two year Electronics Technology degree or equivalent experience. High School or equivalent and 1 year plus hands on working experience.Key Skills and Competencies: Must have good general math skills. Experience as a production assembler, having performed assembly operations to required quality levels and job standards. Some knowledge of computers and test equipment is required. Manual dexterity and visual coordination are required. Prior use of various hand tools Ability to stand and/sit on production line throughout the shift. Works well in a team environment.
