Accounting Supervisor DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs, tissues, and eyes to be used for life-saving transplants. DonorConnect is looking for a full-time Accounting Supervisor to add to our team. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing payroll, benefits, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer/Director, assists with management of the Finance department. Communicates and emulates the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Contributes to setting and implementing the strategic goals of the department. Gains the support of the team and other teams to meet these goals . Assumes responsibility for payroll and benefits processing and administration. Assists with employee engagement with the Payroll Coordinator and Administrative Assistant, Accounting coordinator through performance management activities such as one-on-one meetings, providing feedback, coaching, following organizational HR practices, and personal development planning. Assumes responsibility for other accounting or administrative duties as assigned. Conducts oneself in a manner that is professional, polite, assumes good intent, respectful, supportive, shares expertise, and facilitates positive team(s) interaction. Minimum Qualifications As part of our commitment to provide a healthy and safe work environment, DonorConnect has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement* Training/Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in accounting, management, or business preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, AP and/or AR Minimum of 2 years in accounting management/supervision Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understanding of basic GAAP accounting, payroll-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements Able to do routine accounting procedures Well organized, accurate, and attentive to detail; strong organizational capabilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Flexible, willingness to assist others Able to work well under stress Sensitive with ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to manage multiple projects, responsibilities and commitments by being organized and understanding how to effectively prioritize items.
