JOB SUMMARY: Diversified experience in set-up and operation of metal fabricating machines, such as rolls, shears, saws, punch presses, plasma cutting equipment, laser cutting equipment, metal flanges and benders, and other machinery and hand tools as required, to cut, bend, roll, flange, seam weld and form plates, sheets and structural shapes as specified. Advanced layout, advanced blueprint reading and measurement tools. Proficient in Shop Math. Ability to read. Ability to assist and train other fab employees as needed. Detect unusual conditions or specific problems and report to proper supervision. Observe good housekeeping practices and follow prescribed safety precautions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:♦ Lift at least 50 lbs from floor to knuckles level on an occasional basis♦ Lift at least 50 lbs from floor to waist level on an occasional basis♦ Lift at least 25 lbs from floor to shoulder level on an occasional basis♦ Carry at least 50 lbs for a minimum distance of 100 feet on an occasional basisTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent required.5 years fabrication experience.Must be able to read blueprints.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, and ENVIRONMENTAL Ensure that all activities are carried out in a quality, healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner. Follow company PPE (personal protection equipment) guidelines. Educate and influence yourself and other employees so that they embrace quality, health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures. To continually improve our QHSE performance.
