Part of weekend rotation. Daily Hours Worked: 7.5 Wage Rate: As per MGEU Prof Tech Collective Agreement Term Condition (if applicable): Maternity/parental leave of absence term may expire sooner than indicated, subject to minimum notice of two (2) weeks or one pay period whichever is longer. Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Summary: Reporting to the Client Services Manager - Rehabilitation Services, the Occupational Therapist will operate with a high degree of independence as a member of a multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. The incumbent will participate in the planning, delivery and evaluation of rehabilitation services, using a client centered, goal orientated approach for children and/or adult populations. These services include backssment, direct intervention, consultation and public/parent/caregiver education and training within a variety of settings, which may include acute care, outpatient, long term care, client’s home, school and other community settings. The Occupational Therapist may also provide clinic supervision and training for students and provisional members and participates in the education of other health care professionals.
